Funtivity Day!

It’s our last Funtivity Day of the fall season! Join us this afternoon between 1:30 & 3:30pm for a fun LEGO drop in. We’ll put out the blocks—your kids can bring their creativity!

As with all LEGO drop in days, this will be a mostly unsupervised event. Parents are asked to stay with younger children.

Lego for Adults? Of course!

Since tomorrow is one of our PA Day Lego Drop-Ins, I’ve been thinking about Lego today. Wasn’t it a fun surprise to come across this book which is new at our library—aimed entirely at adults who still love Lego, but want to make more “mature” designs.

Lego Crafts for adultsGEEKY LEGO CRAFTS: 21 FUN AND QUIRKY PROJECTS by David Scarfe, is a fun-filled book that has 21 challenging projects for adults. Sometimes, they’re just for fun, and other times, they actually make something practical. But guaranteed, you’ll be fighting over Lego blocks with your kids!

You can place a hold on this book using your library card and PIN on our website!

Lego Drop In Today!

LEGO(1)Just a reminder, if you’re looking for something to do today, it’s our last Lego Drop In before summer.  We’re putting out the blocks at 2pm.  Drop in for a few minutes, or stay the whole time. It’s going to be fun…and there will be a challenge!

A reminder to parents, please do not leave young children unattended. This afternoon will be largely unsupervised by staff.

LEGO LEGO!

LEGOOur LEGO Drop-In Days at the library were so popular this fall, we’re carrying them over into the winter months. And this time, we’re including three school board PA days—the Upper Canada School Board, the Catholic School Board, and the Ottawa Carleton School Board!

Drop in for a few minutes, or stay for the whole session—we’ll have fun challenges to keep everyone busy. And no registration is required for this….simply show up at the library for an afternoon of fun!
