Happy Labour Day!

We might be closed, but that doesn’t mean you can’t find out what’s going on this fall at the library! Check out our latest Fall calendar for kids, and the one for teens and adults. We have plenty of great things coming up—most require registration, so please make note of the dates to start signing up, as things will fill up quickly!

2011 is just around the corner!

Sorry its been so long since I’ve done a fresh post to the blog, but I’m hoping many of you were still holiday-ing and didn’t notice.  We’re open again at the Carleton Place Public Library and we’re expecting a busy few days!  It’s been 4 1/2 days since we were last open, so if you’re itching to get some new books, stop in anywhere from 2:30 – 9pm and load up!

If you’re off this week and planning a New Year’s Eve party, here’s a great idea to put at your dinner table or roll up and leave in a bucket for your guests to take on the way out…printable 2011 calendars! Skip to my Lou has found the greatest (mostly) free printable calendars and put them all in one place so that you have plenty to choose from!

There’s a cute calendar that you can print and slip into a CD case to hand out, ones that you can colour yourself and even ones that allow you to design the calendar pretty much from scratch.  So, if you’re looking for a fun project for the kids (or yourself), print these off onto card stock and you’re all set!  Happy New Year!
