We run a variety of great programs all year round at the library. Each session is a little different, so please give us a call at 257-2702 for current session information and to register.
Babytime runs for 6-week sessions on Thursday mornings at 9:30am. This is for little ones aged 0 – 12 months. It is a fun 2o minute session filled with songs, tickle rhymes and stories. Parents will have lots of time afterward to chat, and it’s a great social time for babies. It is also a wonderful opportunity to get a library card and start your family visiting regularly!
Toddler time is the next step in our children’s programs. It runs for 6-week sessions on Thursday mornings at 10:00am. (Please call for current session details.) This is for children 12 months – 24 months and parents or caregivers. We use this as a great pre-literacy jump start…with songs, baby signs, rhymes, puppets and more.
Storytime is a long-standing favourite program at the Carleton Place Public Library. We have two sessions on Wednesday mornings…..the first is at 9:30am, and the next begins at 10:15am. We sing songs, read lots of stories, learn pre-literacy skills, and have LOTS of fun! There’s even a take-home craft! Please call to register as sessions fill up quickly.
We also run a variety of other programs throughout the year, including Forest of Reading (December – April), the TD Summer Reading Club (July – September), as well as craft nights, book clubs and more. Please see our library catalog for all of the current offerings!
