We had a really great Teen Book Club at the end of March! Everyone had read our book….Ranson Riggs’ MISS PEREGRINE’S HOME FOR PECULIAR CHILDREN, and they all had plenty to say about it.
It was a creepy book, to say the least. I’m sure you can tell from the cover. And inside, are many old and equally creepy photos that the book revolves around. We decided to try taking our own photos to make us look like we were hovering, just like the book cover. Fun!
Since the book had elements of time travel, one of the members even made her own investigative-scientific evaluation of the probability of time travel within the book. It was fascinating to hear (and I think we all learned a few things about how the science behind it works.)
Our next Teen Book Club (open to members aged 12 and up) will be on Wednesday, April 29th from 4:00-5:30pm. This month, we’re reading John Green’s PAPER TOWNS. If you know someone who would like to take part, give us a call and we can get them a book to read. This is a fun club…and yes….we have snacks!
