If you’re a fan of the Canadian band Great Big Sea, you’ll know Alan Doyle. He’s the lead singer, and now author of a memoir called WHERE I BELONG: SMALL TOWN TO GREAT BIG SEA about growing up in Petty Harbour, Newfoundland, as well as his musical journey. He decided to write about his hometown because he feels it shaped him both musically, and as a person. As with many Newfoundlanders, Doyle is a born storyteller, and his memoir will sure to delight fans as well as those who just love to learn about small-town Canada.
