Are you getting excited? We are! The Human Library Project is just around the corner, and we’re prepping for lots of visitors to come in and check out one of our Human Books on Saturday, May 3rd. Don’t worry, there are lots of spaces available, so you’ll have a chance to talk with any one of our wonderful and inspirational choices. Want to know more? Read on!
We’ll have a WWII Codebreaker, an artist, a local author, a master gardener, a firsthand look at teen pregnancy, and someone willing to share her experience with domestic violence. These “human books” will be available from 11am – 4pm, and patrons can come in and share a half hour with them. Maybe you’ll have a lot of questions for your Human Book, or maybe you’d like to just listen to them talk. Whatever you choose, these generous people are fascinating members of our community, and it’s not often we all get a chance to talk with them one on one. To learn more about the Human Library project, and to sign up for your time-slot starting on Monday, April 28th, please visit the link here, or call us at the Carleton Place Public Library for more information. It’s going to be a fascinating Saturday, so mark it on your calendar!
