A lot of people are on Goodreads, the popular site where you can rate books and write your own reviews. In fact, it’s so popular, many people use it as the first place to find out about new books in order to decide if they’ll read something or not.
Each year, Goodreads hosts a “Best Books of the Year” Award, and asks readers to nominate their favourite books in a variety of categories. It’s the only major book award decided by readers! How fabulous is that?! And recently, the winners of the Best Books of 2013 were announced. You can visit the site for the complete list, but here are a few of the major category winners:
