Frivolous Friday is here again…with chicken!

Once again, a long weekend is upon us and this is just a reminder that the library will be CLOSED on MONDAY, AUGUST 1st.  As usual, we will not put the blue box out until Tuesday morning, so keep your books until then.  Don’t worry, you won’t be charged fines for Sunday or Monday!

Now, for our Frivolous Friday post…….

Recently,  Kentucky Fried Chicken in Carleton Place closed it’s doors after years of serving us all yummy fried chicken. Okay, I must admit that I hadn’t been in years, but it was always a fun indulgence. Nothing like a bucket of KFC, original recipe! And it seems that there is a fondness for the man in white, Colonel Sanders, so much so that a new website dedicated to everything about the man who changed the way the world eats chicken.

ColonelSanders.com is a beautifully laid out site with videos, stories from fans, photos and more. The site was started by the KFC company but it hopes to include stories and more from anyone who ever loved the brand or had a story about the man. Just something a little off beat for your weekend reading!
