Of course, we’ve had SO much fun with our own Gnome this summer, that on this Frivolous Friday post, we’re sending you over to 3EyedBear to download your own paper gnome! They call them Snorfs over there, but they’re just as cute and easy to make. Download one or download them all and you’ll have a host of Home Gnomes for the weekend! Have fun!
Yes, we’re knee-deep in gnome fun this summer! The library has been transformed into a magical forest, filled with trees and butterflies and a very special gnome. We’re almost ready to pick his name, and we’ll reveal it as soon as we know it! (Exciting, isn’t it?) We can only IMAGINE what it might be!
Once the kids begin the TD Summer Reading Program, they’ll get a book to put on 0ne of the shelves. Hopefully, we’ll fill these shelves up and have to “grow” more for his library. This little Gnomebrarian isn’t afraid to work either, so we’re encouraging the kids to get reading. (They’ll earn a book for every three books they read, or one for every visit, depending on the reading level.)
You’ll be able to follow the progress of the bookshelves on the right hand side of this blog. We’ll update the photo weekly! And don’t forget, you can see more of the gnome’s antics on Facebook or his own Twitter feed (see links at the top of this blog, too).
We’re starting something fun this week at the library! This little guy is going to play a BIG part of our summer reading program, but right now, he doesn’t even have a name! Starting today, and all through June, you’ll have a chance to “Gname our Gnome” at the library! Drop in a fill out a suggestion. We’ll pick the best name at the end of the month, and later this summer, someone will get to take him home.
