Seating

We have a new bench outside the library!   Yesterday, a shiny new green bench arrived and now faces one of the library windows, and our lovely garden. We haven’t seen anyone sit in it yet, but I’m sure it’s perfect!

The view from the bench

It got me thinking about all the great seating we have in the library. Sure, there are the typical plastic chairs at the tables, but we also have plenty of comfy armchairs. Most are situated in the windows where you can sit and look out while reading, or use your laptop while relaxing.

The YA section appeals to a lot of our teens because of the giant hand chairs!  (They are colorful, but a little hard when you get right down to it. Doesn’t seem to bother anyone, though.)

And of course, we have beanbags, tall chairs, small chairs, multi-colored chairs and more in the children’s area. We often find a stuffed animal or doll propped up in one.

So, the next time you’re at the library, why don’t you have a seat and stay a while? We love when you visit!
