And Bingo was his name-o!

Our TD Summer Reading program is in full swing now, with kids coming in to pick up their invitations to start reading. But don’t worry, we didn’t forget about the older kids!  While posters and stickers might not be as appealing to kids in Grade 5 and up, we do have something to keep them occupied this summer….BOOK BUCK BINGO!!

So what exactly is Book Buck Bingo? When the kids pick up their special brochures, there is a bingo card on the back.  We’re going to coax them into trying new books this summer, so the squares are filled with a variety of ideas.  For each square they finish, we’ll stamp the card and give them ONE Book Buck. They’ll keep collecting and then we’ll have two special weeks, one in August and one in September, when they can spend those bucks.  Last year, the kids were chomping at the bit to see what they could purchase.  Expect to see our special secret Book Buck Window go up in early August.  They won’t know what’s behind it, but there will be plenty to choose from!

It doesn’t matter if you have really young ones or tweens, we’ve got something for everyone at the library this summer. Just IMAGINE!
