Sometimes, I just like to look at babies. And this blog by new mommy Adele Enersen is absolutely the MOST adorable thing I’ve ever seen. Off on maternity leave, Enersen (of Finland), decided that she wanted to keep a daily record of her new baby, Mila. So her creative side took over and she comes up with these little scenes made from simple household supplies (blankets, clothing etc.) into which she places her little one and takes a picture! She claims she only spends a short time on each scene and only puts her little one into it when she’s ready, picking her up out of her nap so that the baby hardly notices anything is even going on.
She’s got some beautiful pictures here and you’ll spend time just sifting through from the very beginning, even if you aren’t all that interested in babies. The ideas here are simple and yet brilliant at the same time. Although Enersen claims there is no book in the works, I’m thinking that might change as the interest in this increases.
This week, she seems to be featuring fairy tales and placing little Mila inside each story. If you want to see more, please visit her website at Mila’s Daydreams. It just might give you some inspiration to try your hand at your own photographic record of life! (I know this entry had very little to do with books, but I just couldn’t resist sharing it with you!)
